All well and good, I suppose, in 10.5.8, but in 10.7.1 NO such thing exists under System Preferences: QT does not appear at all in that pane. So everything downstream from there likewise does not exist.
And there are no System Preferences for QT, the application.
Your suggestions would fit the bill, if in fact 10.7.1 had such features.
