I have a 1 GHz TiBook (512 MB RAM) with broken hinges, a cracked case right above the slot for the DVD drive, and a damaged latch. The hard drive and DVD drive were both replaced (by my husband) just over 2 years ago.

The machine basically functions OK (running 10.4.11) except for the case. A friend gave me his dead 867 MHz TiBook that has an immaculate case. I am not sure why it is dead - though I did discover that it currently has no RAM!

What I'd like to do (have my husband do!) is to take the working innards out of my machine and put them in the other case. How feasible is this? Can we move my faster processor from one case to the other?
