I believe I have tried all the usual flushing and resetting procedures. One common denominator does indeed appear to be Ultimate Status Bar but, while I know nothing about Extension programming, why would it be any less efficient than others that are cleared/vetted and posted on Apple's Extensions site?
Apple exercised due diligence in clearing/vetting approved software. However, it is economically, practically, and physically impossible for Apple, or anyone else, to test every possible combination of applications, plug-ins, extensions, and web sites. The number of possible combinations approaches infinity.
