Thanks for the suggestion about the iPad. However, one needs to pay big bucks to connect with the world via iPad or other such devices ... which is one (of a number of) reasons I don't have an iPhone or any smartphone or cellphone. Moreover, to be tracked (GPS) via an iPad with that information going who knows where for who knows what reason will never be a route I'll travel. I want to fly even further under the radar than the Unabomber. And I want to do it cheaply.
