I've just upped my DSL to 7Mb, which translates to a bit under 800Kbps at best, and even at that speed a 7Gb (around what an SL disc is) d/l will take too long!
Installing to a pristine volume and imaging the results for future use seems like a nice idea, but I doubt we'll be able to do it.
I guess my non-visionary persona extends to my not having cable.
