I'm looking for an external backup drive to back up an old G4 laptop. I went to Other World Computing and their Mercury drives had two choices: triple connection (firewire 400/800/USB 2.0) and USB 3.0
I didn't even know there was a USB 3.0. Is it backwards compatible? Does it require a special cable.
Maybe someone could suggest some drive options that they like. I don't need a big drive. 100 GB is probably more than enough. I'd like to clone the laptop. I think it's OS 10.6
