Right, but I think it is the manufacturer's fault (just 1 digit error). On my 17" MBP (early 2009) both programs correctly identified the dates and the year 2009. The funny thing is that this MBP bought directly from the Apple store online was reported as stolen. The good news their web site used for tracking (www.powermax.com) cannot be resolved. But the real deal stolencomputers.org reported that it was not stolen (no serial in their database)...
