I miss those days.
I never realized those were sponsorships; I thought they were merely "public service in the absence of our own forum" things.
If I had to pick two pieces of commercial software that screwed up computers... well there you have it... that's ironic. To this day I'm still ripping norton out by its roots on computers at least weekly. Thanks to the local university's IT staff that have been bamboozled into thinking macs absolutely have to have AV software, so much they require it be installed before allowing you on their network. (wired or wireless)
