Edit: If there's a Terminal command I can run that might identify my mysterious files and folders I'll be happy to rerun the experiment.
Other than running before and after snapshots, and then doing a "diff" on the (saved) results... nothing i can think of. I'd expect these imported items to retain their original modified times, so setting a time marker beforehand (via touch) and then looking for everything newer than the marker probably wouldn't do the trick).
But there should be a "migration.log" somewhere in /Library... no?
