you will have a very hard time finding a service adapter to go from scsi to anything else. IDE is about the only common parallel interface to have serial conversion chips. (to sata, usb, firewire, etc, serial interfaces)

There are dozens of companies making IDE and Sata to USB adapters nowadays.

I've also been unable to find a sata to firewire adapter of any sort. And every attempt I've made to stack two adapters together (such as sata to ide, and then ide to firewire) has failed.
