I tried unbleached filters, albeit quite some time ago, and found that they added a "chemical" paper taste that was lacking from bleached filters. Or, maybe I was used to the taste of bleach and missed it when using unbleached?

At any rate, I prefer bleached filters to the ecologically correct (similar to politically correct?) unbleached filters.
