I have had good luck with Hitachi drives. You'll need to buy a Parallel ATA drive for your model, which originally came with a 4200 RPM drive. The only drives that I can find run at 5400 RPM and I don't know if your laptop can handle the higher speed (someone else will have to respond). For ideas, visit this OWC page.

FWIW, I have bought a total of 6 Hitachi drives (for desktop computers, not laptop) and have had no problems with any of them.
