Final Cut Pro is Apple's high-end video editing app. Much more demanding than most average Photoshop use. She also does some occasional Adobe CS3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) work without any problems. Any new Mac can almost certainly your needs. The need for a higher-end pro-marketed machine for the soho (small office/home office) user just isn't usually there anymore. In general the industry has gotten to the point where even "low end" PCs are pretty darn good. (Heck, I even tried out Photoshop CS4 and Acrobat Pro 9 on my $300 hackintosh netbook and they ran pretty decently.)
