Just went in and the genius solved issue under 60 seconds. It was an corrput network setting. That's kind of what I thought all along. I wish the hotel had an IT guy on site.
The genius bar just puts any other computer shop to shame.
I loved Apple care a while back, just for phone support alone. Now, it's just like any other extended warranty for me - not worth it, generally speaking.
