OS 13.6 I haven't used my music for awhile but today after opening, every song showed red. Is there any solution?

Never seen that! Try shutting down/starting up and see if it clears up.

Have shut down...no change. Would going into Recovery mode help? Trouble is, it takes so long.

If I've got one red one, clicking on command-A turns them all red, and then clicking on just one turns all but that one white. Or maybe control-click on the entire screen?

artie,
I tried what you said and it doesn't help. Control clicking the entire screen does nothing. Has this happened to anyone else?

I think I may have run into this myself, but if I did, it was many years ago, and I've no real idea how I got out of it, although clicking on just one item seems vaguely familiar
Have you tried clicking on just one item? (No control click...just plain click.)

Why the music wouldn't play I don't know. The reason the tunes became red is from what I can deduce is because that was apple's decision to make that change. I decided to erase everything and install a backup which I didn't realize I had until I searched around. They now play as they should but are still red. That's the name of that tune!

I dunno. Apple's having decided to display all items red just plain doesn't seem very likely, particularly since no one other than you has reported it.
One last thing, though, I just looked under Music > Edit and found a "Deselect All" option. Give it a try.

If you do a search, you will find others have had the same issue but I didn't see any solutions. As far "Deselect all" I will give that a pass...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
