I highly recommend the just-released The Alpha Female Wolf : The Fierce Legacy of Yellowstone's 06 by Rick McIntyre.
Of course McIntyre's previous 3 treatises on the Yellowstone wolves (beginning with their reintroduction in 1995 from Alberta and British Columbia) are also well worth the investment of time and intellectual energy, not to mention enjoyment and revelation:
