After Super Tuesday it's the only reasonable option ...

Prediction: Biden + Warren.
Biden continues his ascent in the polls and takes the presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention. Warren is selected as his running mate after she abandons presidential race given her poor performance in the polls and her loss in the primary in her home state (MA).

Rationale: Democratic moderates and conservatives are 'scared' of Sanders's "democratic socialism". Warren's politics aren't all that different but her presentation is far less strident and therefore less 'scary', thereby attracting those moderates and conservatives (and true lefties) in the party; moreover she can easily attract the female vote across most persuasions.
Biden already has the ethnic vote wrapped up. (Now if he'd only lose the gaffes.)

This is the only Democratic ticket which stands a chance of defeating Trump and his ilk qua coterie of klutzes and saving America's face and future across the world ... short of a mystical savior arising from another dimension. It may also have the salutary effect of getting decent candidates elected to the House and Senate and derailing the train wreck of the past decade.

Remember: You heard it here first.

Saving grace: If it doesn't come to pass, you'll have forgotten that I said it ... because you'll have too many other things to worry about when the Antichrist is inaugurated for another 4 years.

I think Warren may value her own agenda more highly than the good of the party; will she be willing to subordinate that agenda to Biden, the other moderates, and their platform as she'd have to do as both nominated and elected VP?

I'm happy to have her still in there taking delegates from Sanders, but as VP candidate, while even the illusion of her agenda would certainly help coalesce the entire party behind Biden, its spectre might not resonate all that well with the Never Trumpers...the swing bloc in this election...

Those gaffes scare the bejeezus out of me, because they suggest the potentiality of President Warren if your scenario comes to pass.

But I'd LOVE to hear her debate Pence! They'll have to carry what's left of him from the stage in a hazardous waste bag.

Afterthought: Is it actually possible that the Dems need Warren on the ticket to get her and Sanders's followings to vote against Trump knowing what they now know about him?

Here's the take that two analysts have on Biden's ascendancy: Why Did Biden Suddenly Sweep Virginia? Credit Trump, These Voters Say

My wife and I disagree about who has a better chance of defeating Trump. I say Biden and she says Sanders. I will show her this article and we'll discuss it.

Sanders doesn't offer anything to the Never Trumpers, in fact, his policies are pretty much antithetical to what they're looking for, and as I just said, they're the swing bloc in this election.

Biden, on the other hand, is, if not a panacea, a safe harbor, and I"m all in with you.

Biden appears to close the door on Warren joining his administration: ...

How about this? Biden runs with Tulsi, and between the Never Trumpers voting for him, the Russians supporting her, and the Chinese working against Trump, he sweeps all 50 states. tongue

Another step in the prediction:

Biden and Sanders Fight Over Policy and Records in Head-to-Head Debate

With the coronavirus as a backdrop, and with no audience in attendance, the two Democrats were at times feisty discussing their differences over health care.
Mr Biden also committed to choosing a woman as a running mate.

Still not gonna be Warren.

The combination of Biden's age and her ideology would spook the Never Trumpers looking to vote against Trump, as well as, very possibly, many Democrats.

Yeah, it will be a woman, but NOT Warren, and both she and Sanders are going to have to go all out to deliver their ridiculously idealistic but hopefully not totally stupid constituencies to Biden.

Tick tock. Maybe even TikTok.

Biden’s Running Mate? Party Leaders Favor Female Ex-Rivals

Discussions with 60 Democratic officials found that three former candidates — Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar — were their leading choices, followed by Stacey Abrams.
