OS 13.4
I have on my desktop a folder called Tab Group Favorites which shows as empty. I also have the same name in the sidebar.
I dragged the desktop folder into the trash and it activated the "moving to the trash" window and even though it is empty, it never stops. I know I cannot trash the bookmark but how can I remove the
folder from the desktop? I have not used this app since switching to Ventura.

Try dragging the folder from the sidebar and shutting down/restarting, then see what happens.
If no luck, please do a get info on the desktop folder and post a screenshot.

You need to post the screenshot on an image hosting site, something like the free Imgur. What you have provided is the location of the screenshot on your personal computer, which none of us can access.

I am going crazy trying to create an account with Imgur. I keep going around in circles. I have contacted them so I just have to wait.

As far as I know, you don't need an account. Having one makes life a bit easier, but I don't believe it's necessary.
Haven't you posted IMGUR links in the past?

I did try to create an account when on Mojave but I understand that I needed to update Mojave first. Since what you have said about having not requiring an account, I will give it a go tomorrow.

When I posted it today, I clicked the Imgur image and it appeared as it should but later to see if you had answered, I clicked it again and got the black page you did. what happened?
Can you give me detailed instructions on how to transfer the image from Imgur? I do have an account now. I forgot to mention that I opened Xword and I was able to copy and paste the screenshot into it and from there I
I dragged it into an email I sent to myself and it was ok....?

First, I've got zero idea what happened with the black image. I've never run into anything like it before.
After you drag your image into IMGUR, you should get a page that shows your image and various options.
If you hover your cursor over your image you should get a "Copy link ..." pop-up which, if clicked on, transfers your image's URL to your clipboard. If you don't get the pop-up, you can click on "Grab Link" and work from there. (For some reason, the two methods generate different URLs, but they both get you to your image.)
Once you've got the URL on your clipboard, you can use FTM's link tags - 5th icon from the right - to create your link. (If you have trouble with that, just paste the URL as d/'ed into your post.)

Yes, that works. But it may be helpful to see the bottom of the Get Info window where the Permission and Sharing settings are shown. Take a larger window screen shot, please. Also, after all this discussion about images I forgot your original question. So I re-read your original post and saw that you called this an app. Is that correct? Is there more going on here than just a folder? If so, you may need to delete (properly) the associated app. If so, this folder may just be part of the Tab Group Favs app.

Ira, The original reason for posting was that I could not trash the FGT folders but earlier okay I was able to drag all 3 of them to the trash so I must have done something that allowed me to do that. What, I don't know.
However, if I did refer to those folders as an app, that must be a mistake because there is no such app that I could find.
The good thing is that I now have imgur for future use.
