Anyone else use Calendar in week view? Isn't amazing still that on 1st day of new month, all you see in the name of the last month there? Causes lot grief over the years: Odd no? https://imgur.com/hqcfSyQ

Odd yes. Some months ago I switched to Fantastical which is a third party front end to the Calendar data. I just checked and it shows the month appropriately in Week display mode plus offering improved "real language" scheduling of events. I think it is a significant improvement over Calendar and it has become one of my standard applications.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Thanks Joe, you agree this is odd? How could the app go decades without this glitch being fixed? Amazing how many times I've told people wrong dates, as brain is seeing the wrong month with new day. How hard is it to put correct month over the first day?
What does "real language", mean? Was that main motivator?
For Fantastical, you'd have to put install it on all devices, but Apples Calendar runs in background?

How hard is it to put correct month over the first day? How many times have you submitted Feeedback? What does "real language", mean? Was that main motivator? Click on the plus sign (+) in Fantastical and type or dictate "Appointment massage every second Thursday at two PM" or similar. This is very useful but the main feature is an improved look and feel. For Fantastical, you'd have to put install it on all devices, but Apples Calendar runs in background? Fantastical will run on all devices, but because it is simply an alternate user Interface you could be running Calendar on one device and Fantastical on another. It also offers 18 or so "WIdgets" for macOS and a like number for iOS plus even more for iPadOS.

Hmmm… I plan to switch to Apple now, and it’s helpful to know some tips about Macintosh.

Hmmm… I plan to switch to Apple now, and it’s helpful to know some tips about Macintosh. There is always the FAQ forum on this web site, but Apple has some tips for switchers. Check them out, and welcome to this site.
