My wife uses the Babylon website to translate between French and English. We are considering buying the Babylon Translator app It is pricey but if it works well, we are willing. Does anyone have experience with it?

I'm glad that I posted before buying. This TechSurvivors thread (scroll down to Paddy's post, just above my reply) gives me great trepidation about dealing with Babylon. In the meantime, does anyone have any recommendations for alternate translation software?

I have no direct experience but I did come up with Top translation software tools in 2020 — some even free!.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

My wife tried Google Translator and believes that it will suit her needs. If not, we can explore other avenues, including those that are not free.

For whatever reason, Babylon is working again. Actually, it was serendipitous that it stopped because my wife now uses Google Translator as well. They give slightly different results and it's good to have a second opinion.
