I have seen numerous reports and can add from my own experience that the original Weather widget no longer works. Does anyone have a good replacement? That's a true widget, not a Desktop or menu bar app; not a Notification Center display, not the Weather Widget in the App Store that really is a an app and not a widget; and not the ones listed in Apples own widget section that lead to dead download pages; but a true widget that resides in the widget Space on the Desktop. Thanks in advance.
On a Mac since 1984. Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

Try out The Weather Channel's widget (weather.com). I've been using it for years for many different locales of interest ... all you really need is your ZIP code(s) to lock it in.

I use the National Weather Service forecast, set to my own location, as my home page. In my experience, that service is much more accurate than weather.com or any of the other commercial services.

Good ideas folks, but apparently someone paid the widget bill and the original weather widget is once again working.

Prior to my "it's working" post above I tried the Weather Channel widget and it would not install. In fact, it is hung up in installation mode and I can't delete it from the widget Space.
