What do you think about adding a category above Lounge for...

Undocumented New Features

To post announcements and discussion of new features we find in Mac OS and other common software (like Firefox or Ghostery etc)

It may not see a huge amount of new threads, but would be a great resource for users to browse to "see what handy stuff they've missed" on their macs.

(in addition to unexpected switches, actions, and settings, this could include "useful information hidden out of view" and handy easy terminal commands like AppleShowAllFiles)

I like the idea, but they may not necessarily be "new".

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

Since you mentioned it in this context, AppleShowAllFiles = command - shift - . (period) in Sierra and High Sierra.

Nice idea! It would be a useful forum (but I agree with Ira about nomenclature).
