That suggests that "fast search" is available on
non-APFS volumes, and I'm curious whether EasyFind supports it, because its non-APFS version is
sooo much slower than FF's APFS version.
It might be illuminating if someone who's still non-APFS (I haven't got a volume on which to experiment.) ran EF and FAF side by side with a view towards determining if EF is even more behind the times than has been made readily evident by my APFS upgrade.
I fully understand that being freeware, EF is Devon's orphan-child, but I'm wondering if they've been perpetuating an inferior product.
