I have good luck dictating text in Mail or Messages. It has trained me to be a bit more precise in enunciation and to be care to say each word distinctly, but I probably should do that anyway. And one other thing, never dictate with the television on. You can get some really interesting results that way, but it is unlikely to be what you want.

Thanks Joe, that's what I'm doing, but emailsand website, real tedious and the phone does not seem to remember them well.
And dictation as you point out, is great, but cannot sometimes work or be tricky.
Funny, once there was some TV or radio, and it all went in and I hit send! 5 crazy paragraphs

Check out on the iPhone: Settings>General>Keyboard>Text Replacement.
Also, in the same place "Predictive" turned on can speed things up with anticipatory suggestions, especially on typos.
On a Mac since 1984. Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

App Store > Productivity > Text Expander PhraseExpress? But it almost looks more cumbersome than typing. And then, there's ios text expander - Google Search

thanks Ira will look, no apps invented that do keyboard shortcuts that turn in to blurbs? On the iDevice that is exactly what "Text Replacement" does. Set it up in the Preference and, for example, when you type "yt" on the keyboard, you will get "Yours truly,". Pick your key combinations and the associated replacement phrase. Keep in mind that the iDevice keyboard is more limited—no function keys, no command, control, option, etc.
