OS 10.12.6
I have a few Expander Damon files with the word CRASH in red on them.
Is it ok to trash them?

Those files are part of the Stuffit Expander app. According to other on line sources, if you're not using Stuffit, you must uninstall Stuffit to get rid of them. But try trashing them too.
On a Mac since 1984. Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

Ira,
I don't have stuffit expander installed. Excuse my ignorance, but how did I get them?
I went to 'all my files' and deleted them.
Thanks,

Maybe way back when you had, or sampled, Stuffit. But if they stay gone, all is well.
