Can't load new avatar

Okay, I'm sure this ranks right up there with the least important questions ever asked, but...

I've been trying for two days to replace my 15-year-old avatar with the new, older me. I can successfully delete my old avatar, but every time I attempt to upload a new image (jpg, 75x75 pixels) my old, deleted avatar is displayed.

Please help.

I dunno what's up.

Your new avatar was up all day yesterday...shorter hair, shaved, glasses, all smiley, but at the moment you haven't got any avatar at all.

Clearing the cache did it. Thanks. All that for a pretty lousy photo, but it's certainly more representative.
