I believe he said "What the HELL...", which underscores a comment by one of the white men he's lost who said "He cusses in front of women and children and everybody. He's not Christian."

That quote, incidentally, is one of the best chosen ones I've seen.

Tell that to Trump when it comes time for him to concede the election. (Now, that'll be a really interesting moment!)

And echoing ryck, I've got to wonder how is brand will fare down the road, although as I've said, I suspect it will prosper.

But the thought of his going into the media business is frightening!!!

Lululemon, General Motors, and Target Stores, who all suffered hits to their sales and share values as a result of adverse publicity, might argue that point.

An interesting moment indeed….as I start wondering if his desperate moves to 'hang in there' may have less to do with a wish to be President and more about avoiding the possibility of having to concede to a woman. For a thrice-married misogynist, that has to be a frightful prospect.

To change direction a bit, does anyone else find it curious that with only one exception, nobody has posted favorably for Trump in the nine months this thread has been running?

Is it that there isn't a single Trump supporter among the regulars, or is it that his supporters are at an overwhelming loss for meaningful rebuttal?

And how about guests? Trump supporters are pretty vocal, so I'd think that at least one would have taken the time to register, if only to "put us in our places". (Disclaimer: For all I know there have been any number of those whose vituperation was taken down before I saw it.)

Since FTM comprises a parochial little group whose members have a few more neurons than required for bladder control and standing upright — crazy facetious comment for humorous comparative purposes only smirk — it's not hard to understand the lack of positive reactions in the Lounge.
In fact, other than from media outlets which pander to the fanatic fringes, have you seen any positive ~ favorable reviews of Señor Hitler's behavior and (proposed) policies?

I've seen numerous pro-Trump posts in response to anti-Trump articles in the Washington Post and NY Times, which is why I'm surprised that none seem to have been posted here.

It almost seems like all of Mac-dom "comprises a parochial little group whose members have a few more neurons than required for bladder control and standing upright".

Further to Señor Hitler's attempt to put on "blackface",

Black Voters Don’t Recognize Trump’s View of Their Lives

The picture Mr Trump has been painting of black America — a nightmare of poverty, death and danger, brought about by failed Democratic policies and leadership — is one that African Americans say is unrecognizable.

This is getting interesting.

I wonder how many people are naive enough to believe that a man who has unabashedly and consistently lied about pretty much everything to pretty much everybody has suddenly seen the error in his ways and disavowed the hard-line hatred and bigotry he's been spewing for so long, particularly in view of the unabashed hard-line hater/bigot he's now got directing his campaign?

Far beyond merely not jiving, Bannon and Trump's new softer, more lovable persona are antithetical.

My guess is that the epiphany will be short-lived, because the attitude is too deep-seated.

If one can judge Trump by his supporters, here's a doozy: Maine Governor Paul LePage criticised for 'racist' remarks. According to Wikipedia, Governor Page has endorsed Donald Trump.

The kinds of people that Trump attracts certainly are one way to judge him. Another is his continuing use of tragedy to promote his political agenda.

It may leave only one question unanswered: "Is there anything that is beneath Donald Trump?"

Not that I feel the slightest bit of sympathy for Ann Coulter, but this, is an interesting take on her new book.

Edit: But I'll have to give credit where it's due if she actually sat through this without losing her composure.

Edit 2: Peyton Manning screwed up by likening Coulter to a Triple Crown winner rather than a horse that finished down the track.

Edit 3: He could have rectified his error by identifying the winning horse as "American Pariah".

And now for a little (more) levity ...

The Pope and Trump were on the same stage in Yankee Stadium in front of a huge crowd.
The Pope leaned toward Trump and said, "Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display but will go deep into their hearts and they'll forever speak of this day and rejoice."
Trump replied, "I seriously doubt that! With one little wave of your hand .... Show me!"
So the Pope backhanded him and knocked him off the stage!
AND THE CROWD ROARED AND CHEERED WILDLY, and there was happiness throughout the land.

And the next day Trump tweeted that the Pope hits like a nun (Hey, they dress kinda like Muslims. Are they really Catholic?), and he took a beautiful dive to make him look good in front of the suckers who believe that he, not Donald Trump, is infallible, and the old bastard (who he's heard was actually born Jewish and shouldn't be Pope in the first place) didn't even thank him for the favor...SAD!

Those Trump endorsers really underscore the old Mexican proverb that Hillary Clinton quoted in her recent alt-right speech: “Tell me with whom you walk, and I will tell you who you are.”

It turns out we have simply not been intuitive enough. Following Trump's visit to the Great Faith Ministries church in Detroit this morning, surrogate Ben Carson responded (well, sort of) to a reporter's questions about specific things Trump has previously said.

Mr. Carson often prefaced his answers with: "If you listened to what Donald was actually saying….". Huh?

So that's the answer. Mr Trump doesn't say what he actually means….and the problem is us, because we haven't been divining his ramblings correctly. Well, that makes things easier because, even before we figure out what Trump is "actually saying", we can at least conclude that his words mean something else.

That'll be helpful for the congregation this morning who heard Trump talk about a new "civil rights agenda for our time".

Trump needs to have Katrina Pierson with him wherever he goes to do simultaneous translation, so, like at the UN, people can wear headphones and hear what he's "actually" saying in "their own language".
