In case anyone missed this today, i just wanted to pass it on:
See folder content previews in QuickLook in 10.5 and 10.6

When originally posted, the belief was that it only worked in 10.Snowy. Turned out that it functions beautifully in 10.5 as well. Admittedly, it's just a piece of eye candy... but quite yummy nonetheless. Try it, you'll like it.

cool

Why does Apple hide this stuff anyway? crazy
[this has been buried since Oct. 2007!] shocked

Not sure if this should have been posted in The Lounge or not.
I just wanted a place to put this nifty news item.

"Regardless of how Apple corporate wants to portray its products,
the Mac isn't a machine for the masses any more than red wine is
the preferred beverage at baseball games.

So who cares about ubiquity anyway?"

A fun tip Hal, much appreciated-

But tell me, should you have an opinion, why it is that someone in Apple created this capability, but Apple chose not to (even) add an option/preference for it? I can understand Apple's position if a hack were required, but that is not the case.

And there must be hundreds of similar examples, all waiting for MacPilot or the like...

Maybe it's for looking at a folder full of Easter eggs?
