Whitelisting websites for Adblocker in Safari

Maybe I'm using too old a version of Sarari (10.0.1). I can't figure out how to whitelist websites. Calling up Adblocker in Safari's preferences, I can't find any settings to do this.

What, exactly, do you mean by "whitelist websites", and which ad-blocker are you using?

By "Whitelisting" I mean that I want to be able to allow ads on certain websites. For example there are some online news sites that check to see if an adblocker is installed, and if so, it won't display the page. So, I want to allow ads from those pages.

The adblocker that I'm using is AdBlock 2.56 from BetaFish software. I don't remember when I installed it. It seems to me that it was in a list of Safari plug-ins.

Anyway, you may have answered my question. Maybe this Adblocker doesn't have a whitelist feature.

Okay, I updated to version 2.62.0, and after a lot of searching, I found where to whitelist sites. Unfortunately, the option is broken.

Under the "Customize" tab, It gives a link for adding whitelisted sites. When I click the link, a text field drops down, but text entry is disabled in it. So, I can't add anything to it.

In the end, I just temporarily switched off AdBlock so that I could get access to the site I wanted to see. Then turned it back on after I was done.

I'm running the same version of AdBlock, and I was just able to whitelist a website, so I'm wondering if you think text entry is disabled because the drop-down has got pre-entered text?

Clicking in the drop-down's field gave me a cursor, and the default text disappeared as soon as I began typing, and VOILA! (Not especially intuitive. tongue )

By the way, it took some searching to figure out how to reverse my addition to the whitelist, but I finally found it at the very top of the "Manually edit your filters" pane.

Nope, the default text remains there. There is a blinking cursor at the beginning of the default text, but nothing happens when I try to enter text.

This is what I see.

I suggest that you first try reinstalling AdBlock, and failing that, contact support; I've found them to be responsive and helpful.
