In iMessage, I am no longer able to send a text. I have gone into Settings>Messages and turned IMessage off. Then I turned it back on and the iPad said it was activating. However, I still can't send. Instead, I get a dialogue box that says: This message cannot be sent until iMessage is enabled.

Have you tried restarting your iPad (you will find the instructions here? If that doesn't work try the Force restart (instructions on the same page as the previous).

At least that old standby fix still works. smile

I probably get to use it more often than most because of my penchant for running beta software but even with that it is still an easy "fix" to forget because it is needed so seldom these days.

These days of minimal documentation finding instructions is often a challenge in itself. crazy

I can still recall the days when you could take the back off most consumer elecronics (radios, TVs, etc) and there'd be a paper on the back with the schematic on it. Though that stopped being common sometime in the 70's.
