Last night on Don Lemon's show (CNN) he played back a recording for a guest, Michael Moore. The recording was from a Fox show in which Rudi Guiliani predicted big email news to come in a couple of days, while laughing pretty much uncontrollably.

Guiliani's prediction was two days before the FBI announcement of the "Weiner" emails.

Wow! If that doesn't qualify for an investigation, I don't know what would.

What a visual…Donald Trump holding his breath and stamping his tiny feet. If it wasn't so extremely sad, we could all laugh.

Pink faces turn purple when their owners hold their breath; I wonder what color Trump's apricot face will turn?

A corollary to that is people would rather hear what they believe than what is true.

I said the same thing about Obama, but sadly his election revealed a dark underbelly of racism I thought had pretty well gone by the wayside, but apparently was simply bubbling like a witches brew below the surface. From much of the 👿☠️👎✊ going on around here I am afraid anti-feminism is alive and rampant too.

I suppose that Trump thinks that rigging an election is OK so long as Republicans do it. Ruling Preserves Voting Rights for Thousands in North Carolina

ryck,

You brought it all back to foundational basics. That says it all. And bless you for that!

My hope (prayer?) is that by this time tomorrow we will have an elected president and won't still be waiting for the decision(s), court challenges, etc. 🙇🏻

I think we can pretty much count on huge claims of election fraud from this point forward, regardless of who runs or who wins and loses.

What sort of chutzpah qua perverse irony is there to Señor Hitler's victory speech being closed out with the Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want"?! (It's not in the public domain, so the Stones should sue him.)

So, come January 20th Camp David becomes the new Berchtesgaden. What will be the new Wolfsschanze ('Wolf's Lair')?

Two possibilities:

1. Russia hacked the election and manipulated it.
2. The result really reflects the electorate.

Which is worse? I'm not sure.

Bottom line: MAKE AMERICA GRATE AGAIN.

No matter how hard they try, they can't bring back the America of the 1950s ... which was the product of post-war euphoria ... unless, of course, the world goes to war again.

The bunker of the original was in Berlin (where the original ultimately did himself and Eva in).
As for building one, it would depend on how elegant (and deep) you wanted it to ward off apocalyptic intrusion. tongue

It may be hard to determine which is the worse of those two possibilities, but I think there is something possibly far worse.

This morning Trump will have (or already has had) the first of his daily briefings on the most secret information the President is given and, because he is the President-Elect, it will be repeated daily.

Given that Trump doesn't appear to trust anyone but his family, and only surrounds himself with syncophants, I fear for the containment of that information.

Jon, the reply is to you only because you were the nearest.

...awe, you guys are just so negative..... confused crazy shocked blush

Isn't our government so designed as to protect us from any one portion of the three being totally in charge of all things? Hasn't that proven functional historically?

[Sarcasm] Personally, I'm just hoping that there is a possibility of good advisors actually providing good advice and then that advice being followed......is that too much to hope for? [/Sarcasm]

....and I am AMAZED at the result of our election process!

Of course he will pick good advisers (sarcasm). People of intelligence and integrity, such as Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie, and Rudolph Giuliani. Donald Trump’s Victory Is Met With Shock Across a Wide Political Divide

A remote possibility, mooted at in times past, is that the Electoral College could do as its component members choose, not as the vote 'suggested'; they are not bound to do the latter. One can only dream ....
