(I've got no idea if this is the correct forum, so please move if appropriate.)

Others have already installed Sierra, but the App Store is still not offering it to me nor has Apple d/l'ed it to me.

Other than from posts here I wouldn't even know it was available if I hadn't seen it listed on MacUpdate.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Interesting.

For me, it's prominently displayed at the top of the Featured page. Perhaps you're looking for it in Updates instead? (I don't think a new OS version is considered an update!)

On the mark...in all respects. Thanks. (I was landing on "Featured" when I got to the App Store, but I was blowing past it to "Updates" without even looking.)

And on thinking, while I know that Apple pushes OS X delta updates to me, I'm not at all sure that they did it with El Cap. (I'll wait a while to see what happens.)

As far as I know the MacOS 12 "Golden Master" was never released into public beta so this morning I installed the released version of MacOS 12 just to start from a solid baseline. A little before noon I saw a notice that the MacOS 12.1 beta was available for download. So in a little more than four hours I have had three versions of MacOS 12 on my desktop Mac mini: MacOS 12 public beta, Mac OS 10.12 release, and Mac OS 10.12.1 public beta.

When I attempted to install Mac OS 10.12 on my early 2009 Mac mini, it would not install. 😨 Ah well progress is inevitable and that inevitably means some things get left behind. It still works well as a server running El Capitan however.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?
