At times I use Version Tracker to find utility applications to use with Mac OSX 10.3.9 operating system. Yet usually the only option presented is the latest version of whatever software which is not compatible with 10.3.9. When you select an older version of the software the dialog box appears in red and you are not able to download it. Sometimes if you go to the developer site it can be found but I was wondering how one might download older compatible versions within the version tracker dialog box?

There probably is no way to do this unless and until CNET decides to maintain links to all older versions. In my experience, Version Tracker is not always reliable or accurate. IMHO, you're better off going directly to the developer's web site.

Well I thought I was not on the ball in terms of knowing how to use VT. It would seem that connecting all those links is not that big of deal.

You're assuming the developers keep the old versions around and maintain the links. They're the ones who handle that, not VT.

E-mailing developers with polite request might work for you, and, alternatively, you can post here and see of maybe somebody has the apps in which you're interested; I, for one, still have a small archive of 10.3.9 compatible apps.
