Not sure what Forum this belongs in but will try here. I have an iMac 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB of Memory. I have a Tripplite Smart 1200 LCD UPS which is HID Compliant so it will activate the UPS Section of Energy Saver. On 10.4.11 it ran flawlessly as far as shutting down the computer when the power went out. Mine was set to 2 Minutes. When I installed Leopard it never would shut down the computer, Apple told me that I had found a flaw which they never fixed. In Snow Leopard, which I have installed on a backup hard drive it works half the time and the other half of the time I get a Kernel Panic. Of Course Apple blames Tripplite and Tripplite says they have no problem reports with Apple. Anyone have any ideas. I am not sure if it is a MAC OS problem or a problem with the actual UPS. As I said it was flawless with Tiger. Thanks
