OS 10.6.8 iTunes 11.4 For some reason, I cannot drag tunes into my itunes.
I tries "add to library" but still no go. Some simple explanation I suppose. Please tell me what it is. I have seen others with 11.4 having the same problem. jaybass

I should add that after switching to 11.3.1 I had to convert my itunes to AACs in order to drag them to my itunes library. I have read that others have had to do the same after switching. jaybass

Here is a discussion/list of formats that iTunes 11 supports: formats.

Make sure what you are trying to drag in is in one of the supported formats.

On a Mac since 1984.
Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

Thanks Ira, The itunes I converted were MP3s to AACs which dragged in okay. According to that site you mention, MP3s should be okay but mine wouldn't go. I'm surprised Apple hasn't rectified the problems that have existed in 11.4 for a long time. Of course that's why I switched versions. However, Things are fine now. jaybass
