For those of you who used SIZEWELL with "Yosemite" and earlier OSX versions, it is not supported for El Capitan.

This application, BetterTouchTool (BTT), may work for you:

There is a little bit of work setting it up to customize depending upon the ways in which you want your mouse and/or track pad and/or keyboard to function - ranging from a few simple actions (such as resizing windows with the mouse) to more involved shortcuts, etc.

UPDATE: Actually, I discovered that SIZEWELL still works - although no longer supported - with (many/most) NON-APPLE apps such as Adobe Reader, Apache Open Office, etc. As expected, SIZEWELL does not work with El Capitan's Finder and Safari.

I did have to reinstall 2 or 3 third party apps after the upgrade, and there have been a bit over 30 updates to others (sometimes more than one for the same app), but as of today I have one app that works but is still undergoing thorough El Capita certification testing and one that does not launch and due to a developer delay won't be out until next week.

Have been using BetterToughTool for several days . . . really buggy and unreliable.

I would now NOT recommend this BTT app.

SIZEWELL explains on their website that this app will no longer be supported to work with El Cap due to the use of Apple's S.I.P. (i.e. not because of a delay with certification) - if I am correctly interpreting their announcement.

Just found another FREE THIRD-PARTY app for re-sizing windows in El Capitan:

P.S. If you do not want to memorize the many keyboard shortcuts for moving and sizing windows, select the option in Preferences to show the app in the Status Menu. From there the drop down menu gives all the functions for "one-clicking" the mouse rather than using the keyboard key shortcuts.
