I noticed that the flash wasn't working when my wife took a picture with her iPod and, when I asked, she said it hasn't been working for a while. She's running IOS 7.1.2
When I tried it to check it out, I accidentally hit the video camera button and now it won't go to the still picture camera. It will switch the lens from front to back but won't change the camera.
I have twice powered right down and have done a couple of resets. Nada.
Thoughts?
EDIT:
It's now fixed. I had a nap, when I awoke, my wife exclaimed: "I fixed it!". It appears she got a notice for an update of some sort and when it was done, her camera was working as it should.

At the risk of stating the obvious, the move from photo to video on the iDevice is not by tapping on "Photo", but by sliding left or right (depending on where you are in the list of options) to the adjacent word. Just checking.
On a Mac since 1984. Currently: 24" M1 iMac, M2 Pro Mac mini with 27" BenQ monitor, M2 Macbook Air, MacOS 14.x; iPhones, iPods (yes, still) and iPads.

Yah, the first time I encountered a similar situation I nearly poked a hole in the iPhone trying to get out of video mode. Ahh, a simple swipe… We are creatures of habit.
