Somewhere along the line (not sure if it was moving to OS Mountain Lion or a new version of Mail) my emails started 'grouping'. That is, instead of having a bunch of separate emails, a thread will be under one title with just the number of related emails.

I find it very difficult to find a specific email when I know who sent it but don't recall which thread and, frankly, I think it's a giant pain in the whoozit.

Is there a way to toggle that "feature" off?

I appreciate that there are probably lots of folks who may prefer that kind of grouping, but I really wish this kind of stuff wouldn't be foisted onto the user without asking.

OS 10.8.5, Mail 6.6 (1510)

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?
