I have upgraded from Office 2004 to Office 2011 and, while I like quite a few of the new things, I have run into a serious bump with the amount of real estate that the ribbon et cetera occupy at the top of the screen.
Some of my spreadsheets which had the lower scroll bar and sheet tabs close to the bottom of my iMac screen now have them pushed out of sight.
How do I reduce the spreadsheet image temporarily so that I can then reduce the size of the spreadsheet and have it fit within the limits of my screen? I have checked Excel help but, unless I'm asking the wrong question, it doesn't seem to address the issue.
EDIT: Nevermind, found it. For the sake of others who bump into this, here's what I did:
1. Open Window in the uppermost bar.
2. Choose Arrange…
3. Choose Tiled (it seems the default setting is "Horizontal")
At this point a smaller version of the page will appear, complete with the resize function in the lower right corner.
4. Do an arbitrary resize to something smaller and Click okay.
5. Go back into Window\Arrange and reset to Horizontal.
At this point, the page is resized to fit the screen.
6. Say "Whew!"
