I have Quicken 2007 for Intel and am thinking about moving forward with my OS, currently 10.6.8. I know that I will need to replace some other software due to the loss of Rosetta.

From a few things I've read, it doesn't sound like Lion is a great experience, so I'm thinking of going past it, maybe to Mavericks. However, it will be a royal pain to get there and find that my Quicken does work.

So, anybody out there using Quicken 2007 with Mavericks? Do they play together nicely?

Thanks

Hello ryck,

Yes, we are running Quicken 2007 with Mavericks. It runs as well as it did on Lion & Mountain Lion. Just make sure you have the latest version and you should be fine.

You might want to check out www. roaringapps.com for a check on which applications are compatible with Mavericks.

Good tip. Thanks.

Edit: Just took a quick peek and saw two that are an issue beyond Mountain Lion - Amadeus and Photoshop Elements.

I can't speak for Amadeus, but Photoshop Elements 12 works quite well on my system currently running Mavericks 10.9.2. One glitch is an annoying message that pops up on launch indicating the installations is damaged. Everything continues to work correctly once it is launched and no amount of troubleshooting or reinstallation has been able to stop it.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Good to know. I've also checked at the Amadeus site and V2.1.3 is okay with Mavericks. I guess the various sites are slightly out-of-sync which, I suppose, is to be expected considering the vast number of software versions constantly being released.
