When I launch Audio Midi Setup there is an item called Elements Organizer 10.0 in the lefthand column.

It doesn't look like something from Apple, but I'm wondering what Elements Organizer 10.0 is and how it got there and what it's purpose is.

Any idea? BTY I'm using OSX 10.6.8. Thanks.

Elements Organizer is part of Adobe Photoshop Elements. In addition to photos, E. Organizer can also keep track of audio and video files, hence its appearance in Audio MIDI Setup, where you can set basics like (audio) sample rate etc. for all your Mac's audio devices.
