...and it appears they added it back to the menu as well on the site.

Yep, they got it fixed so you can search the Forums when you're not logged in (a setting in UBB.threads controls that).

Yes, but it's been like that since the All Forums search (use of which had ground forums access to a halt) was reinstated.
