I just stumbled on /Users/artie/Library/Cookies/Google sign-in (Save).plist, and I've got no idea what it is or where it came from.

It looks like it's got something to do with my Cookie favorite cookies, but Cookie's developer hasn't got a clue what it is, and my Google search was fruitless.

Edit: That "(Save)" looks like it may be my own addendum, but I'm still mystified; the file's creation and modified dates are the same, possibly because of the changed name, so I've deleted "(Save)" to see what, if anything, happens.

Not here. On my machine that Cookies folder contains only three plists - one is for AppleAppstore, another is Graphic Converter, and the third is a generic cookies.plist. I opened the generic plist with textedit and it seems only to keep track of places I've been.

I dunno... That file's nomenclature doesn't look like anything I've ever seen in OS X...more like something of my own device, but I can't fathom why I might have been saving it, nor does the file's creation date ring any bells.

Maybe it has something to do with the last time you forgot some Google-related action you'd undertaken?

I considered that episode before I posted, buy I couldn't dream up a connection between the two events, particularly with their having occurred weeks apart.

But this is right in character with the cryptic wonderfully expressive notes I've left myself at night, only to have absolutely no idea what they were all about the next morning, not to mention weeks or more later.
