stop ITMS from opening when iTunes opens

A customer's machine opens the ITMS every time he launches iTunes (clicking on dock) I assumed there would be a setting in iTunes preferences to disable this behavior but I'm not spotting it. Am I blind or is there a problem, or a hidden setting or terminal command neededs? Lion, fully up to date.

For what it is worth MacPilot does not list any hidden iTunes preference that would appear to cause this. confused

Belated recall: I did see something like this on a friend's iMac a month or so back. In her case it turned out she had been interrupted while setting up or changing something in her ITMS account. When she launched iTunes it would immediately go to the ITMS to complete the setup. Finishing the setup "fixed" the problem.

I don't know if this will help or not, but maybe it will give you some ideas.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Which version of iTunes, on which OS?

iTunes normally re-opens to whatever window was open when it last quit. If you're on Lion, and have applied one of the "fixes" to block the auto-resume feature, you may be blocking iTunes ability to remember which window it had open.

From V1's statement, I would think it safe to assume OS X 10.7.2 and iTunes 10.5.1
