Can I buy one in the gift shop? I need it under my doormat.

"Mine" or "(a) mine?"

See that's why you're not a friendly, easy-going New Yorker. My broken mechanical doorbell goes "clunk-clunk" and I lift the sliding panel that covers the little peephole in the front door of my apartment and eyeball my potential visitor through the distortion of the fisheye lens of the the tiny scope drilled through the 2" thick metal door. That's when I would use my judgement whether to use the trapdoor described above or unlock both locks, leave the chain on and open the door partways to make sure no one else is around, then close the door, release the chain, open the door again and allow them safe passage inside should they be an acceptable guest.

Much more civilized. (Although I did LMAO when I read your post!)
