You might want to have a look at WiFi Radar. I like it better than AirRadar, and it's freeware to boot. There are a few issues (it quits suddenly during loading if AirPort is off, 'registration' is useless), but imo it beats AR. That said, I don't know how it behaves under MacOS 10.6, but that's easily found out.
