I need to set a book up for publishing on Amazon's Kindle. I'm told that Word is the best software to format it in. Do they make Word for Mac???

Thanks.

Indeed! Visit this Mactopia site. AFAIK, you'll have to buy the whole MS Office suite but you'll have a choice between the Home And Student edition and the more complete one. The main difference is that the Home And Student version lacks Outlook. Otherwise, they each have Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

I think they also offer a single license home edition for cheaper than the what, $130 or so for the home three license set?

Indeed, but Word by itself is hardly cheaper than the entire Home/Student edition of Office: check out this price comparison.
