If you are a Wikipedia fan check out WikiWand a AI front end for Wikipedia.

I took a quick look, and the WikiWand version looked like nothing more than a prettier presentation of the original wikipedia article.

Did I miss the point of the exercise?

Although the prettier presentation is the most immediately noticeable feature, I think you overlooked a major point of the exercise in your quick look. It is the AI contribution that appears here. Open that up and for example click on a question and you will get an AI generated response. It is not perfect as seen in this caveat, but I often wish there were a similar tool for Apple's support database.

I did, indeed, miss the essence of WikiWand.

How are the questions generated, and can we add our own questions to the list?

I can see where it would be a helpful adjunct to Apple's support database.
