I use a Plume Router which among its feature set includes blocking and reporting suspicious IP addresses, and for the past several months the router's morning summary report has regularly reported one or more attempts to contact my Mac Studio by a suspicious IP address in China, Russia, Iran, or similar hostile region during the previous day. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but this is beginning to make me feel a bit paranoid.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it wouldn't be called research, would it?

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. Correction, no? Just because you're NOT paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.  If you are paranoid you know they are out to get you.
