My power adapter has decided to fall out frequently from my MacBook Pro early 2015. I put some tape around it and it worked for a few weeks but is now loose again. Is there a known DIY fix for this? Thanks.

Do you mean that the lightning connector won't stay in the MacBook? If so, there may be an easy fix. I had an iPhone with that issue - lightning connector wouldn't stay in - and discovered that it was dirt inside the port. I picked at the dirt with a toothpick (never use a metal device) and, once all the dirt was out, it worked fine.

Or do you mean that your MagSafe connector is no longer held in place by the magnets?
Your power adapter is the white block that plugs into an outlet.

Yes, the magnetic piece that connects to the actual MacBook Pro. The magnets still seem strong, but it doesn't take much for the magnetic end to fall out from time to time which it never used to do.

As you've noted in your next post, you haven't got a lightning connector.

I'll guess that either the MagSafe element itself, the port into which it plugs, or both are dirty. Try unplugging you power adapter and cleaning the magnetic end, maybe with alcohol. If that doesn't turn the trick, power your MBP down and clean the port, but be certain not to get the works wet...maybe use an alcohol soaked Q-Tip that's been wrung and blotted dry so there's absolutely no drip.

OK, so you don't think canned air is enough? Canned air might be a solution if you had an actual port like ryck thought, but it won't deal with the "sludge" that may be affecting the male/female/both MagSafe elements.

OK. I will try the ETOH tomorrow. Thanks, Artie. I also did a cursory search before I came here and there is nothing about it. I must be the only one in the Apple world this has happened to! It seems to be a problem with iPhones, but nothing comes up as respects Macs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(Are you gonna use vodka, or can you actually get your hands on real 200 proof?)
